The Guardian twitter account has been hacked by the Syrian Electronic Army (SEA).
Cyber-terrorists have been targeting Western media organisations including BBC, France 24 TV and United States National Public Radio.
The SEA also hacked into the Associated Press twitter, posting tweets claiming President Barack Obama was injured in a bomb attack drastically altering stock exchanges.
SEA took control of The Guardian twitter account early this morning, which reaches just over 958,000 followers, posting nine false tweets in an hour.
Tweets included anti-Israeli comments in what has been seen as propaganda for Assad.
