Ryder Cup volunteers decided

The 1,800 volunteers needed to help host the Ryder Cup at Gleneagles next September have been decided.

A record 17,500 people applied to help at the event which will see Europe attempt to defend their title.

Europe’s captain Paul McGinley, said: “No golf tournament could exist without volunteers and that is especially true in terms of a competition of the size and magnitude of The Ryder Cup, so I thank them all for their participation.”
