Lawyers of Michael Jackson’s mother have alleged AEG Live ignored the late singers health warnings.
Katherine Jackson’s, 82, lawyers are attempting to prove that AEG hired convicted doctor, Conrad Murray, and ignored Jackson’s poor health and controlled Murray.
The opening trial in Los Angeles heard from Brian Panish (Mrs Jackson’s lead attorney) that the court would learn about the life of the star and the truth behind his death.
Mrs Jackson believes Murray who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in 2011 did not go through relevant checks before he was hired.
The trial, which is expected to be a lengthy process, will hear witness statements from Diana Ross, Prince, and even Jackson’s own family, his ex-wives Lisa Marie Presley and Debbie Rowe, amongst others.
Judge, Yvette Palazuelos has limited the number of journalists allowed in the courtroom to 16 as the majority of seats are reserved for potential witnesses.
