Public opinion is split after First bus announced the networks biggest revamp in more than a decade.
At the start of the week FIRST announced its plans to overhaul its bus network, in a move they have labelled “SimpliCITY”
Some bus users have created petitions to stop the timetable changes after it affects them getting to work on time.
Brian Donnelly, 57, of Littlemoor, Weymouth, relies on First’s X53 Jurassic Coast bus to travel from Weymouth to the Dorset Green Technology Park in Winfrith every day where he works as a cleaner.
Under the changes, the first bus of the day will leave Weymouth an hour later.
The bus operator admits the move will see a cutback of 1% to its overall network, and the axeing of a number of minor and duplicate routes.
